This aircraft represents a Arsenal VG-33 in fictional
unit markings. The VG-33 was probably the best French fighter design during
1940 and could have inflicted heavier losses to the Luftwaffe, if it had been
produced in greater numbers. The design of the VG-33, which was mostly wood,
required advanced materials also used in the Dewoitine D-520. Unfortunately,
the Arsenal fighter, which was still under development, did not get priority
and the project was stopped. Only two VG-33s saw active service in the GC I/55
and completed several missions before the end of the Battle of France. The
camouflage represented on this skin and the Hornet emblem on the tail are
fictional.
The skin was created by Nico
I'As, based on the D-520 3DZ by Isidoro
Ramos "Alatriste" and Capitan
Manduca. (SPIT 1
