Computer Science, at Universidade de Brasilia, renowned Brazilian University.
Alessandro moved from Goiania city to Brasilia (just 200km) and now works as a

patches or mods before he even got the game. The rest, as they say, is history.

ABOUT HIMSELF |
HIMSELF AND
EAW |
|
Dallas was born in February 1965, and spent his early life
travelling the world, as his father was a pilot in the RAF, flying Avro
Vulcans, English Electric Lightning's and F4 Phantoms. On leaving school at 16,
he joined the army, 2nd battalion, Parachute Regt. Dallas saw action in the
Falklands campaign in 1982, after which he transferred to the 'Pathfinder
Platoon' (hence his EAW aka of 'Pathfinder'). He continued to see active duty
in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, and the Gulf in 90/91. He finally left the forces
in 95 and did close protection work for a while. He met his wife, sadly now
divorced, who was then a primary schoolteacher and they have a young daughter,
Alexandra. Dallas lost his closest friend and old time EAWer 'Dinger', who
sadly passed away in June 2000, as a result of liver failure, brought on by
suspected Gulf War Syndrome. May he rest in peace. Dallas's favourite WWII
Aircraft are the De-Havilland Mosquito, Westland Whirlwind, P47C Thunderbolt.
Modern aircraft are Avro Vulcan, F4 Phantom, Hawker Hunter, English Electric
Lightning, and Panavia Tornado GR1. |
Dallas's EAW aka is 'Pathfinder'. When on-line flying he uses the
aka 'No105_Pathfinder'. He is an active
member of the EAW community and has pages at the Tally-Ho
Site. Amongst other things, Dallas has created many skins for EAW, in
particular for the Republic P-47 'Thunderbolt' and Consolidated B-24
'Liberator'. |

when still in the Army but based in Europe with the NATO. Two children, Derek
(now 11) and Roy (now 6). Sadly they separated in 2000 but during a tourist

ABOUT HIMSELF |
Hi mates,
Well at 63, I guess, I'm one of those old guys, who hangs out around here alot.
My interests in all matter of flying vehicles is legend and goes way back to my
early childhood when I was making model aircraft. (The wooden variety) Now,
that I think back on it, why I didn't pursue aviation as a career is a real big
mystery to me. Now, of course, since I'm a little older my interests revolve
around airshows, air museums, adding to my personal aviation reference library,
obsessively collecting die-cast aircraft models and once I was even a weekend
glider pilot.
Those who know me, do say, that I'm just 'plane
crazy'....I was a graduate of the Ontario Art College (Toronto) back so far ago
that the dates have become very fuzzy to me now. This lead me into a career of
retail store design but that's all behind me now too. Since 1993, I escaped
from my 'white collar' desk vocation to that of a 'blue collar' one and
succeeded in ridding myself of a major source of emotional stress. Quite
possibly added years to my life in the process too. Today, I pilot a transit
bus for a living and I love it. The view out my office window, now, changes
every minute and I should have done this years ago.
I'm non-married now
which can be attributed to that before mention stress factor (we're still good
friends and talk regularly) and have a son who towers over me and of whom I am
extremely proud. (He's the military guy in the photo Lt.Andrew Phillips soon to
be Capt.Phillips)....
How did I get started in EAW? That's my brother's
fault.Back in the winter of 1999 he showed me that I could fly a BoB Spitfire
using a very early version of EAW....(The addiction began.)
When did I
start skinning? Back in 2001. That was Chompy's fault. I read his Skinning
Tutorial one night....(I had found my hobby.)
When did I start post'n
screen shots? I think about the same time. That was dBeav's fault. He set me up
with a very simply server that I could use and understand.....(Shows my hobby
in it's best light.)
Once I was the CO of the 352nd On-line Fighter
Group but had to resign because of job shift conflictions. That was my fault.
(Really shot myself in the foot on that one)
Why do I stay with EAW
after two computer crashes and rebuilds? Because it's my hobby and within this
community I have developed some great friendships around the world.
Will EAW continue to be part of my life? Damn square it will!
Cheers

DAVID BURCHELL
|
HIMSELF |
ABOUT HIMSELF |
HIMSELF AND
EAW |
|
David lives in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, Australia
and is married two children. His life has followed a predictable EAW path. He
saw the film 'Battle of Britain' at age nine and spent the rest of the school
year shooting down 109s in the school playground. Has been hooked on aircraft
ever since. He progressed from a roomful of Airfix models SPI
paper-and-cardboard games, even making his own. After having gone through F15
Strike Eagle, Lucas Arts's '1942' and the original Microprose B17, he then had
family, and life got more complicated. He bought EAW at the end of 2000 and
despite brief foray's into Jane's FA18 and F15, Rowan's BOB and Mig Alley,
still keeps EAW as the one true love. |
David's EAW aka is 'CatsEye's'. David is very much a key member
in the team who are currently creating the latest addition to the EAW campaign
list, the 'Spanish Air War' campaign. |
DAVID DICKINSON
|
HIMSELF |
ABOUT HIMSELF |
HIMSELF AND
EAW |
|
David was born in 1950 and lives in Oregon, USA.
He describes himself as a 'semi-retired golf bum, musician and Vietnam Vet'. He
was involved in a very unofficial way with Thrustmaster from it's inception. He
made so much of a nuisance of himself in Bob Carter's office that he and 'Buzz'
Hoffman finally got fed up and shoved every piece of Thrustmaster gear they
could find in his face. Go home, they said and don't come back until you find
some bugs. Consequently his name is on most of the original WCS files. At the
time, 'Buzz' was still able to fly F-16's in the National Guard but sadly,
David never did get a ride!! |
David's EAW aka is 'Smokin'. David is still interested in EAW and
flight sims in general but describes himself these days as a forum 'lurker',
keeping a watching brief on the latest in EAW. |

great game it was. 'S' |

Tally-Ho Site. Freddy's EAW skins include many
aircraft flown by French pilots and Yakovlev fighters, particularly those of

for aircraft and history. |

GREG THOMAS

ABOUT HIMSELF |
HIMSELF AND
EAW |
|
Gregory Michael Thomas was born in 1987 in Wagga Wagga, New
South Wales, Australia. He consumes great quantities of pizza, chips, muffins
and drink that does not taste like p---. His favourite sport is cricket. Early
on Greg watched films like Tora Tora Tora, Battle of Britain, Midway as well as
older films such as the Battle of the River Plate, Battle of the Bulge and many
old John Mills movies, thinking that modern war movies got off the point (with
the exception of Band of Brothers). He prefers WWII to modern fighter/war sims,
as they offer more of a challenge and has strong beliefs in the important roll
played by the Russians, Anzacs and RAF during WW2. Alternative music and late
night pre-1960 movies keep Greg going into the late hours. Greg admires those
in the EAW community who keep this sim going in the face of such tough
opposition. Greg obtained EAW in 2000. |
Greg's EAW aka is 'Geg'. He has his own pages at the

part in EAW by creating aircraft skins and screens. Currently Greg is working
