CLICK TO DOWNLOAD This model depicts the Yakovlev Yak-1b of the CG3 "Normandie" FFL, 303 IAD, operating from the Polotniany-Zavod airfield, Kalouga-Briansk front during late March 1943. The pilot was Cdt Jean "Tutu" Tulasne (MIA 17/July/1943) - 8 kills, 3 probables.

The pilot was Lt Marcel Lefèvre - Hero of the Soviets Union - who was wounded in action on the 28 May 1944 and died later, on the 5 June 1944 ( 11 kills, 3 probables, 4 shared).

CLICK TO DOWNLOAD This model depicts the Yak-1 Second Series 'Smert Fashistam, of the 183 IAP as flown by Michail Dmitrijevic Baranov, Hero of the SSSR . Baranov was credited with 24 kills and 28 shared victories in 64 combat missions, flying the I-16, LaGG-3 and Yak-1. He was killed when testing his Yak-1 (technical problem) on the 17/Jan/1943.
