This model represents a Bristol Blenheim Mk.I, 32 Mira,
Royal Hellenic Air Force, Larissa July 1941 At the beginning of the Italian
invasion of Greece in 1940 32 Mira was armed with Blenheim MkIVs. By the time
the Germans attacked from Yugoslavia and Bulgaria, 32 Mira was under-strength
and ex-RAF Blenheim MkIs and MkIV were used to make up the numbers. The
Blenheim MkI presented here is a ex-RAF aircraft with its previous roundals and
codes hastily painted over.

This model represents a Fairey Battle Mk.I, 33 Mira,
Royal Hellenic Air Force, Kouklaina, April 1941. Following the 'Disaster in
France', the Fairey Battle only saw action twice more during WWII - with the
RHAF and the South African Air Force (East Africa). At the beginning of the
Italian invasion 33 Mira was at full operational strength with 12 aircraft
operating from Menidi. But, by the time the Germans entered the fight, it had
been reduced to only a few aircraft operating out of Kouklaina.
