	This model depicts a Curtiss P-40E of the 3rd Pursuit Squadron, AVG during March-July 1942. One of the first P-40E's to be received by the Flying Tigers, as replacement for aircraft losses sustained during their first 3 months of operation in defence of Burma and China. Until July 1942, when the AVG officially become part of the 14th AF, 23rd Group, the Flying Tigers received a total of about 30 P-40E's, many of them in the Green and Earth camouflage, (originally destined for the RAF, as were the P-40C), others in the standard USAAC Olive Drab- Neutral Grey camouflage, the last denoting aircraft taken directly from USAAC reserves. This modified skin was created by Damir from an original skin and 3DZ model by Captain Kurt. The model is available for both the Hurricane Mk.1 and P-51B slots.
