DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT |
DOUGLAS A-20B HAVOC |
This model
depicts a Douglas A-20B Havoc was with an unknown unit of the VVS-VF Northern
Fleet Air Force, Arctic Front, 1943 -'44. Not much is known about Soviet
operations with the A-20 Havoc. They used it both as a strafer and bomber to
good effect. Almost half of all A-20's produced were sent to the Soviet Union
under lend-lease, many going to the Soviet Naval Air Force. This 3DZ model was created by Captain Kurt and the aircraft skin was created by DeanH. This model has a specific cockpit created by Captain Kurt. Utilities used during the construction of this model were the 3DZ Studio and 3DZ converter tools by Alessandro Borges. TUPOLEV SB2M-100A |
This model depicts a Russian Tupolev SB-2 M-100A of an unknown Soviet V.V.S.
bomber squadron during late 1941 to early 1942. This was a later version with
uprated engines, 3 blade props and spinners. This aircraft has a new 3DZ model and skin by Captain Kurt, based on the Ki-45 model from Jamie Richards, Nathan Kell, Harry McWilliams and Musgrove. (MOSQ Slot) |

POLIKARPOV I-153 'CHAIKA' |
This skin depicts the Polikarpov I-153 'Chaika' (Seagull) of the 71st IAP of
the V.V.S. K.B.F, Baltic Fleet operating from Lavansaari, the Gulf of Finland
during August 1942. This aircraft was flown by a Capt. Solovyov. This aircraft has a new 3DZ model and skin by Captain Kurt, based on his original I-15 and I-152 3DZ models, which were in turn based on work by Woolfman. The rendering sequence used was developed by Moggy (HURR Slot) |

This skin depicts a Polikarpov I-152 'Super Chato' of an unidentified VVS
ground attack unit during Operation Barbarossa, the German invasion of the

This skin depicts a Soviet Polikarpov I-152 'Super Chato' of
the 70th IAP of the V.V.S. during the 'Nomonhan' incident. This particular
aircraft was shot down and force landed, being captured by the Japanese who

Leningrad Front, 1945. Kostylev scored 11 kills (confirmed) and 32 kills
(shared). He won The Hero of the Soviet Union, 2 Orders of the Red Banner and 2

CURTISS AIRCRAFT |
This skin depicts a VVS Curtiss P40-E in a generic paint
scheme. One of hundreds of lend lease Curtiss P40E's sent to Russia during
1942. The Russians simply painted red stars over the white Amarican stars and
either left the blue background or painted it out with a green background,
before adding the red stars. This plane lacks unit markings - it is only

This skin depicts the Curtiss P40E of the Soviet VVS 154 IAP, which was flown
by Capt N. A. Zelenov, Squadron Vice Commander, in the Leningrad area. Zelenov
scored 24 personal and 10 shared victories, and was decorated HSU before being
