Hi there,

I finally managed to create objects with a seperate object inside. These hangars are the first in a line of mods which I hope will proof a valuable addition to EAW. These hangars come in two versions (allied/axis) and allthough both have a squadspecific and maybe loud appearance I am hoping they will become forerunners for a new type of hangar for other modders
Both hangars are derived from the illuinated demo version but have extensively edited which means their skins are not compattible (sorry) nor are any other hangar skins which are not on my site. Both sets are also not campattible with each other but the layout of each PCX is optimised for ease of editing so anyone can have a go at creating a new file.
You can place objects of your choice in these hangars but a bit of knowlege on the filestructure of EAW is needed.
The files do not contain damaged versions but if I find enough energy they might be updated.

To install:
1: extract the zip to a temporary folder
2: open the temporary folder and choose one of the subfolders (JV44 or RAF)
3: copy the 3DZ files inside this subfolder into your EAW folder or an OAW folder of your choice (these files will overwrite any existent files with the same name so make a backup first)
4: determine if you want to use UHR or LoRes (UHR can only be used in an allready fully functional UHR setup/folder, a single UHR file will only work in combination with one of my UHR packs (UHR Tropic trees or UHR Groundobjects)
5: In case of UHR copy the files in the UHR subfolder into a functioning UHR folder (these files will overwrite any existent files with the same name so make a backup first).
Note: UHR doesn't work on all videocards but most Gforce cards seem to be able to handle it.
6 : In case of Lores version just copy the files in the LoRes folder into your EAW folder or any OAW folder of your choice (can be UHR folder too)but mind you, these files will overwrite any existent files with the same name so make a backup first

Filestructure
TMOD27_D.3DZ - not included but any file made in the past can be used as long as you also include the TPC counterpart of the file. (to view the 3DZ's counterpart open it with notepad, a hexeditor or 3DZ Studio)
TMOD27_H and _L.3DZ - The actual hangar files
TMOD27_S.3DZ - The shadowreplacement file which replaces the file's shadow and puts an object inside the hangar.
In this package I have chosen a simple solution by putting default EAW objects inside the hangar. In the case of the JV44 a V1 and in the case of RAF a B17 (both LoRes) was chosen. However due to the rendering problems caused by shadowfiles being subjective to the main files care should be taken to what kind of object is placed inside. The hangar's panels will overwrite the placed model when viewed at certain angles so a bit of experimentation is needed to get a god result. If you do not like the added shadowreplacement, just delete the file TMOD27_S.3DZ and its counterpart .TPC's

For advanced users:
To add another shadow replacement:
Planes: copy and rename any P****M.3DZ to TMOD27_S.3DZ and also copy its counterpart TPC's (P****TEX.TPC) into the folder where these files are stored (some models are halved, usually bombers and twin engined planes and may not give a good result so experiment)
Groundobjects: copy and rename any TMOD**_H.3DZ to TMOD27_S.3DZ and also copy its counterpart TPC's into the folder where these files are stored. The objects must be smaller then the hangar otherwise rendering problems will occur as described above so a lot of experimenting may be needed to obtain the proper result.
Note: only UHR files can be used in a working UHR folder. LoRes files can be used in any folder.

By installing this software you automatically agree with the terms that the programmer is not liable for any damages caused by this software. It is delivered as is!

My excuse for making this such an extensive ReadMe1st but groundbraking mods just need this. I only hope I covered most angles and you guys can understand what I am talking about. If not you can allway reach me through
