Hi there,

These files will affect every file which gets its colour information from the DAY_FADE.PAL pallette file and work as a kind of preset colour equaliser. The affected files are depending on the used videocard (see PALLY chart). Colours have been changed by adding/subtracting 1 to 5 notches from each Red, Green, Blue or mix of every respective colour index, thus brightening or darkening the entire pallette or a specific colour from the pallette's RGB index.
Each pallette has also an added extended pallette taken from the Spit 1a which seemed to be most suited for use since most changes can be observed on ground objects and I am trying to make this part of the pallette available in the game. It adds 90 colours, making 256 colours available for use. Allthough compattabillity problems on different videocards prevents full use of these pallettes or any other edited DAY_FADE.PAL I believe these files are fun to toy around with and could be usefull in learning and understanding EAW's pallette problem. I have added a PCX with the used default colours which can be used for personal editing and should not be used to make these edits generally available. The deafult colours are exactly the same as EAW's stock pallette but with an extended cockpit pallette with a few more reds added in the empty spaces. I hope the files eventually will lead to enough insight that someone will find a good use for them or any other created DAY_FADE.PAL.
Filename explanation:
FULL or FUL stands for the entire 256 colour pallette (standard and extended parts)
ADD or AD stands for increased values meaning a lighter pallette
MIN stands for decreased values meaning a darker pallette
R G B stand for Red Green Blue or combination
the numbers stand for number of in- or decreased notches

You just have to extract one of these files into your EAW folder and rename it to DAY_FADE.PAL and if you like the effect you might even want to safe it in a specific OAW folder.
WARNING: OAW will NOT remove the file after a total reset so the file must be deleted manually to revert to your default EAW pallette.

Have fun,

VonBeerhofen
