Identifying features of this version:

Three-balded prop, MG FF wing guns, RLM 02 grey, round-frame canopy, no seat or back armour, Revi 12D.

After four years of putting up with the rather poor stock Bf 109 E-4 virtual cockpit, I decided to change it to a more accurate version using the Hi Res techniques pioneered by Moggy. This lead me on to producing other versions too, all using five PCX files instead of the standard two files and incorporating extensive 3DZ modifications and new textures (including an assymetric Hi-Res gunsight -- the first such mod in EAW -- and a new prop with textures indepenent of the main TEX pcx file, so no more "pie wedge" prop fans). The versions available are:

--B-2, B-2 Legion Condor, C, D-1, D-2, D-3, E-3, E-4, E-4/B.

Of course, nothing in EAW is ever a solo effort, so I'd like to acknowledge the following people:

--LLv34_Doc provided valuable reference material for the new gunsights

--The new hi-res wing 3dz is based on that of Jouni 'Illu' Ollila (in turn based on work by Claudio Wilches). Two wing skins by Illu are included (BOB era splinter and yellow tipped Eastern Front), with all the other versions by me.

--Vonbeerhofen provided new Hi-Res reticules (two versions are provided: these and traditional lo-res ones, so the choice is yours)

--The sharpened instruments are from Angeleyes 666th

--Alessandro Borges provided 3DZ!Studio and Paulo Morais the Converter utility; without these none of this would be possible.

To install, simply drop the files into the folder containing the EAW EXE (renaming any alternate wing skins -- *P109EU.tpc -- and gunsight sprites -- *Gunsight.SPT -- first). In order to keep the Zip archives down to a reasonable size, no PCX files are provided. These are easily converted from the TPC files using gpmTpc2Pcx.exe (available from many sites -- try Sandbagger's EAW links for locations).

Thats it!
