Tempest V, serial NV969, No.486(NZ)Squadron, regular plane of S/L Warren E. "Smokey" Schrader DFC, from Wellington, New Zealand, during March/April '45.

In terms of enemy aircraft shot down, this Tempest V was the most successful RAF plane with 7 1/2 kills. After the war ended, this plane lost wing panels during a flight exercise and crashed into Copenhagen harbour...
