Hurricane IIb, SA-F Z5220, 486(NZ)Squadron, March to October 1942, regular plane of S/L Ian Waddy, DFC from Seddon, NZ. On 16/8/42 the undercarriage collapsed while taking off from Matlaske. The plane was repaired on site and later passed to 247 Squadron. S/L Waddy, the Squadron's C/O from 25th 1943 to 7th January 1944 (when he left the squadron) was taken prisoner on 25/8/44.
