	Medium HUD Fonts - Spit9 - 08/06/2002

	Many thanks to Paul "Sniper" Zaborny, for his idea and great colaboration in improving my small modification!

********************************
	VERSION 1.1 (8/06/2002):

	There are two more fonts added, thanks to Sniper; for this reason, I called then SNIPER.FNT and SNIPER.FSP. These fonts are in fact the original POPSERIF3 pair that is inside FONTS.CDF, but now you don't have to extract them.
	They are about the same size of the ones from version 1.0, but according to Sniper, they work with GeForce (and other Nvidia cards, as well as 3Dfx cards), giving a better visual at 1024x768, and also work in 800x600. Even in 1280x1024 they are very acceptable, he says.
He recommends the use of EAW Control 2000 to set the hue of the colors used for HUD to avoid an excessive bright. His settings for the colors are:
	- ORANGE: 255, 132, 0
	- RED: 209, 9, 28
	These values can also be set directly in the EAW.INI file.
	To use the new fonts do the same as in version 1.0.

********************************
	VERSION 1.0 (11/2/2002):
	These fonts are intended to be used with King Rat's patch for EAW (version 1.2b); you can get it at many sites, like Alain-James, Sandbagger and others. If you can't find the patch, I can send it as well, but it's a 1,256 kb file, so it can be a problem with my ISP...

	The fonts are just a combination of two other EAW original fonts (MAINTALL.FNT and THICKFNT.FSP) contained in the EAW file FONTS.CDF. So, if you need a different combination, just do it!... Extract all the font files from FONTS.CDF and try to combine any two of them at your will. The .FNT file seems to control the letter spacing, and the .FSP to be the font itself.

	To use these fonts:
	- Patch your EAW with v. 1.2b, installing the two original LARGEHUD.XXX files;
	- Copy these two files to another directory and keep them;
	- Copy the MEDIUMHUD.XXX files to EAW folder;
	- Delete the original LARGEHUD.XXX files and rename the new ones to LARGEHUD.XXX so they can be used by the patch.

	To unistall these fonts:
	- Simply overwrite the files with the original KR's ones.

	If you don't want to patch your install, an alternative can be to rename the MEDIUMHUD.XXX files as TINYFONT.XXX (the fonts EAW seems to use for HUD) and put them in the EAW folder. This approach WAS NOT TESTED, but if it don't work, just remove the two files - EAW will use their own fonts (or rename them until you find the right names).

	Note:
	I found one unexpected file named LARGEHUD.SSP after I overwrite the original font files. It seems not to be a typo, because it has a different size (98kb). Can't say what it is, but I removed it without problems...

	Have fun!...
