Hurricane MkI V7795 of Plt Off W. Vale, No 80 Sqn, Eleusis, Greece and Maleme, Crete, April-May 1941.

Possibly the most succesful Hurricane of the Greek campaign, V7795 was delivered to No 80 Sqn on 9 April and was extensively used by Bill Vale. The aircraft was abandonned in Crete when the Aliied forces evacuated the island.
According to some sources, the nose of this plane (and others) was painted in Sand colour with green motling so the aircraft looked like Italian planes when on a high speed, low head on pass.

William Vale's final credited score amounts to 30 and destroyed and 6.5 probables. No.33 & 80Sq
