Hoi There!

let me think that most of You have eagerly waited this second. to read the readme of the Hr Me-262, and to load it in to Your EAW directory.

now after almost 5 months later than i have started to make the Schwalbe, i'm ready with it. well ok i'm not ready because there are a lots of things that i don't think and accept as good, nor perfect.

of course there are smaller(i think bigger) problems in the 3dz of the plane but i promise that You will only slightly notice them.

a few things to mention:

- You will notice that i have not added some smaller parts to the plane.

Why? - You should ask. well my answer: because i have recieved e-mails yes mails and not mail(from people that i don't want to name because i think this is a correct way.) that i'm spreading violence and political ideologies what should not be done and it should be punished...

this time i take a bow in front of their will, and i have left out the 'swastiaka' and the 'guns' from the plane.

i know this sounds ridiculous, it did for me, but i already had far more troubles from EAW than the 99% of You. and YES i admit that i caused some/most (choose the one You like) of them.

i think i have done the VAST part of the work, and i have made a few not to superb skins. now You guys the Players and the Skinners will have to dress it up to the top, and take it out to a good flight!
(and of course You will harvest all the awards for that ;-) )

all i can say to the players of the plane is Happy Hunting and Good Luck!

what i want to mention to the following modders and skinners of this plane:

This is not a regular HR plane.

because:

instead of the "normal" 6 3dzs it's using 7 3dzs for the close range view.

these are the following:
P262AB.3DZ/P262AB.TPC - this is the Left Wing.
P262AE.3DZ/P262AE.TPC - this is the Left Tail/Back Fuselage.
P262AA.3DZ/P262AA.TPC - this is the Right Wing.
P262AF.3DZ/P262ATEX.TPC/P262ATRA.TPC - this is the Cockpit, and the Canopy of the Plane.
P262AG.3DZ/P262AG.TPC - this is the Right Front Fuselage.
P262AC.3DZ/P262AC.TPC - this is the Right Tail/Back Fuselage.
P262AP.3DZ/P262AG.TPC - this is the Left Front Fuselage.

P262AU.3DZ/P262AB.TPC - this is the Left Wing in Virtual Cockpit mode.
P262AY.3DZ/P262AB.TPC - this is the Right Wing in Virtual Cockpit mode.

Now some informations about the structure:
Because the Me-262 had no propeller i could use 2 "extra" 3dzs for making it HR.

these are:
the P262AP.3dz what i have used as the left front fuselage;
the P262AU.3dz what i have used as the left virtual wing.

some exponations:
the original 262 model is using the P262AY.3dz as virtual cockpit wings, instead of the P262AU.3dz. so i have used up the "missing" virtual wings as a left wing, and the original wings (what would be the virtula cockpit's Propeller on a prop powered plane.) as right wing.

and because i had the chance of making two separate wings in the virtual cockpit, i have mapped them to the external view's skins.

it means there is no need to make a separate virtual wing view.

i have not made any changes to the mid distance and the far distance views, and the same goes to the torn off wings.
all that i have done is that i have mapped them to an another file which i named as: P262AM.TPC

if You have already unpicpaced the tpcs then You have noticed that i have "squared" out the body of the plane.

i have done that because of two things:
- easier to skin,
- easier to make it(the 3dz).

of course every good thing has a "backside" - because i have made the skin squared this caused that in EAW the game's graphic engine will make some shrinking/distorsion to the skin layed on the 3dz's wireframe.

this means: probably You draw a nice straight line and it will not trully look, like as a nice straight line. what i mean is in some cases You will have to draw a distorted form to get a normal one...

just one thing:

altough it LOOKS like it's an easy plane to skin it is NOT. i don't consider myself as a professional skinner, but i know the plane from the first 'till the last bit of it, i had really hard times when i was making the skins.

i hope i have not scared You away from skinning this birdie.
