ECAONLINE v1.31 Release notes. 4/12/2000

Gun and cannon muzzle velocities have been corrected on Spit 1, FW190A4 and Spit 14.
They had the "old" EAW1.2 numbers which are not correct.

ECAONLINE v1.3 Release notes. 4/7/2000

All aircraft have received a total makeover. Stick sensitivities has been changed to take advantage of the "excessive stick force"
function that is parts of basic EAW. All aircraft has been BETA tested numerous times by different people
and Speeds at Sea Level, Speeds at best altitude, ceiling altitude and climb rates have been calibrated
to match technical as well as historical data. All aircraft use WEP where applicable.

I have spent 4 months getting this release as good as I can get it.

The aircraft modification page has been updated to show particular model designations and
specifics of the aircraft. Some of the charts have been updated to show newly discovered and corrected data.
The aircraft in the game are more balanced than in previous versions. The P38's have received alot of
attention.
Files have been added to clarify that the FW190A is an A4. This will show up in the breifing and
on the AI's.
Tail hit bubble size have been decreased by 50% but the number of hitpoints increased by 100% to eliminate the
"shot off tail" syndrome.
All aircraft are added to v1.3 even bombers (not flyable) to take advantage of the modified tail.

***important***

The stick sensitivity MUST be set to maximum otherwise you will NOT be able to take full
advantage of the handling characteristics. In other words, your turn and roll performance will suffer.

ECAONLINE v1.2 Release notes.

Of all the aircraft in this release, the P38H and J version had the most extensive changes.
Version 1.1/1.11 had the P38 as a super plane with climb rates roughly 50% higher than real numbers.
I believe that people that fly the P38 had alot of fun, but unfortunately, they were not "that" good.
Speeds and best altitude, 22k and 25k, have been corrected. Climb rate and acceleration have been
corrected. Climb rates for the 38's are very good and then can out-accelerate and the "J" can
outclimb most aircraft in the game, with a few exceptions.
Bare in mind that the initial roll rate og the J is slow due to the gyroscopic forces of the props, but when it gets going it is
pretty good. The H version has pretty low roll rate due to the un-boosted ailerons.

One very interesting thing with the 38's is that the initial turn rate is not as good as the sustained
turn rate/radius. Reason being is that the engines are powerful enough to pull the aircraft in the turn
better than the single engine aircraft.

Focke Wulf 190A4

Climb rate has been corrected. It was originally modeled as an A8 and still had the same climb
rate in v1.1/1.11(3500fpm). It is now 4100ft/min which was the number for the A4, due to the lower weight.

Focke Wulf 190D9

I eased back on the stick sensitivity just as much as for what I did on the P51 in v1.1/1.11.

Messerschmitt 262A

I corrected the speeds at best altitude, 20k, and SL. It was about 50mph too slow.
One interesting thing about the 262 is that if you fly too fast you will encounter reversed controls.
In other words, if you fly very fast and move your stick to the left, the aircraft will roll to the right...
So be careful about those high speed dives...

P51D

Acceleration in level flight was altered slightly. When I did my check flights (v1.11), I noticed that the
acceleration was a tad slow. This has now been corrected.

Messerschmitt 109E4

By popular request, we removed the nose mounted cannon. This was made to make the 109e into the more
common E4 model.

"Spread the word and try to make people use ECAONLINE more" The more the merrier!!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!!

The EAWCM batch file for swapping aircraft between different EAW/ECA versions will be updated by Johannes after The New Year!!
