P-80A Shooting Star for European Air War

This is a major re-working of the P80 3D shape for EAW, which I released in July 2000. It is now a combined effort of several people.

The original P80 3D shape is by me (from the PAW P-39), with the transparent canopy and pilot added by Geo (who also fixed a problem polygon on the nose). Jeff "Salty" Salter did the skin, which is a representation of a 56th Fighter Group scheme for the P80A that was used in 1948.

I have recently added underwing hardpoints for the ordnance, and I also fixed the propellor, making it invisible from the cockpit view (this is a jet, right?). Then (using the new "paste-on" method devised by Moggy), I added the wing-tip fuel tanks (which are a permanent fixture, not jettisionable) and the rear jet nozzle. There are some small rendering problems with the tanks and ordnance (if only I could work out the rendering sequence), but nothing too dramatic.

To use , simply unzip all files and copy the *.TPC and *.3DZ files into your EAW directory. The P-80A takes the place of the P-51D, using ECA Control Panel v3.3 or later.
