Hi-resolution Train Set.

Contains re-mapped 3DZ models for the following, plus the relevant texture files (.tpc for the game, .pcx for editing should you wish to do so).

1 and 2. Locomotive and tender - normal and destroyed models, remapped and U.S. style "cow-catcher" removed from front of engine.

3. Flat Wagon 1 - what it says; normal and destroyed models.

4. Flat Wagon 2 - as above with 20mm flakvierling in sandbagged emplacement.

5. Flat Wagon 3 - as (3.), carrying Panther Tank. Panther textures graciously provided by Martin Kubani from his Panther Pack, available at Cord's site, Check-Six and Musgrove's EAW annex. The Panther uses textures from the Panzer Elite tank simulation.

6. Tanker Wagon - Petrol tank, that is, not armoured tank. Normal and destroyed models for two versons included, one with and one without large red warning sign (almost certainly historically inaccurate but looks colourful - I leave the choice to you...).

7. Closed Wagon - or Boxcar as the Americans say; normal and destroyed versions for two versions included, one hard-top and one covered by tarpaulin.

Thanks Etc...

Thanks to Martin for permission to use the Panther tanks, and for bringing Geo's hi-res ground objects method to my attention in the first place. Thanks to Stanley99 for the usual encouragement, and to my father whose train set gave me a quick and easy reference for what a steam train looks like close up.

Further Things...

Any of the wagons can be substituted for any of the others by simply renaming the four 3DZ files (for example TMOD48S.3dz, TMOD48H.3dz, TMOD48D.3dz and TMOD48L.3dz to TMOD45S.3dz, TMOD45H.3dz, TMOD45D.3dz,and TMOD45L.3dz will change the Panther Wagon into the Closed Wagon) but it will not alter the essential characteristics of the object - i.e. you can turn the Flak Wagon into a Tanker Wagon and it will still spit 20mm rounds at you :). However it is only the Flak Wagon that carries armaments so all the others are pretty much interchangeable.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy them - please feel free to comment or report any problems via the SimHQ forum.

Take it easy,

Stew
