This one is my version of the FW190A8-R8(?) Flown by Willi Maximowitz while he was with 11(Schturm) of IV/JG3 'Udet'
Apparently this guy DID take out a couple of 4 engine bombers with ramming tactics, I can hardly imagine what that must have been like!!!!!

Willi Maximowitz was born on 29 January 1920 at Wuppertal-Barnen.
At the end of 1943, when Major von Kornatzski was looking for volunteers for Sturmstaffel 1,
Maximowitz, by this time an Unteroffizier with JG 1, was one of those who enlisted.

He had already achieved his first success when he downed a B-24 on 30 January 1944.
On 23 March 1944 he shot down his third four-engined bomber, a B-17 but his Focke-Wulf 190 A-6 (WNr 551 099) White 10 was hit by return fire from the bombers and a wounded Maximowitz had to bale out near Wuppertal. Following recovery from his wounds he returned to Sturmstaffel 1 and added another B-17 to his tally over Helmstedt on 29 April 1944. On 8 May Sturmstaffel 1 was integrated into IV./JG 3 as 11. Staffel. In June 1944 Maximowitz undertook combat flights in support of the ground army in Normandy, France. These missions were flown with IV.Gruppe from Dreux airfield in France.

Based on the original HR FW190 of Mr.Johnson, a model which I have enjoyed for quite some time. It also includes the spinnner that was made by LLv34_Doc_1 which uses the V1 files, so take care what configuration you install it with.

I made my own choice as to the colour of the ID number on the side, and the spinner spiral too. I have seen the spinner in both Red/Yellow as well as Black/Yellow. I thought the latter colour scheme might be more appropriate, and I didn't wish to make the skin too 'garish' The "RED8" I have heard referred to as a black8, but I feel that, as the ID colour of an 11 staffel would normally be red, then this would be a fair enough guestimate. - I wouldn't be prepared to fight about it though, if someone was to give evidence that contradicted this. lol

Pls Enjoy
