This is my skin using the great 3dz's created by Col. Gibbon.

This skin represents the P3Q-10 Airacobra flown in the Pacific with the USAAF. I have yet to find further information on the plane or pilot.

The lining up of the separate panels has been a bit difficult for me (this is the first p39 skin I've worked on) If enough people want further adjustments to it, I might make a new one.

High Resolution P39/400 Airacobra file set.

This P-39D served in the 36th Fighter Squadron during Welch's tour. This skin represents the P-39D Airacobra flown by Welch into combat over New Guinea. It is based on a color drawing of his plane. 

To install the plane, simply unzip this file into your main EAW folder.

This is the latest update of the P39 to full Hi-res standard. The mapping scale of the plane is 1 EAW point = to 2.48 on the PCX throughout. The model has been modelled over a scale drawing and reshaped accordinly to produce a more authentic shape. The tail wing tips and landing gear have been rebuilt, using some of the newly available points.

While I have made every attempt to perfect this 3d model, there are some minor rendering sequence problems that I haven't been able to fix.

Chompy, for helping me to get the landing gear to work properly, and for his notes on how he did his P51D, on which this plane is based.
