Hi-Res Focke Wulf Fw 190D-9, Werk Nummer 400414,
Stab/JG4, Rhein-Main, Germany, Spring 1945.
Flown by Major Belm.

3dz model High-Ressed by Mike1, based on the model by Llv34_DOC, Rampstrike, JWC32 and Claudio Wilches. Wing view based on the one by Col. Gibbon, spinning prop/spinner by Mr J and transparent shadow also by DOC. Excellent skin by DeanH.

This was an interesting model to work with, as the original could not be opened in 3dz studio. This meant I had to indulge in some "Reverse Engineering"!!! I converted the modified *F.3dz file into a text file, using Paulo's text converter. I then converted the original EAW model into a text file as well. I then proceeded on some serious cutting and pasting! Through trial and error, I produced a model which could be opened in studio, whilst retaining as many of the original features as possible. The only omissions are the opening canopy and dropping flaps. After that, I cut the model up into the following parts:

*A.3DZ Left-rear fuselage *A.TPC
*B.3DZ Right-rear fuselage *B.TPC
*C.3DZ Canopy *TEX.TPC
*E.3DZ Right wing *E.TPC
*F.3DZ Forward fuselage *F.TPC
*G.3DZ Left wing *G.3DZ

Also included are:

*H.3DZ Shadow *TEX.TPC
*L.3DZ Left torn-off wing *MEX.TPC
*M.3DZ Medium distance model *MEX.TPC
*P.3DZ Prop *TEX.TPC
*R.3DZ Right torn-off wing *MEX.TPC
*S.3DZ Long distance model *MEX.TPC

There are a few RS probs, but nothing major! For the folks who have a Glide mode Graphics Cards, I've included an alternative *G.3DZ. Dean reported a see-through prob with one element on that wing, so if you have a similar issue, drop this file in.

Thanks to Col. Gibbon for his notes on how to create High-Res models. Thanks also to Alessandro Borges for his 3dz studio and tools, without which this would have been impossible. Plus anyone else who I've forgotten to mention!
