OK Well here it is, my first attempt at a 262 skin using Mr.Johnson's great new 3dz's.
This was made using the additional wing 3dz that Mr.J. provided to correct the appearence of the rocket packs under the wings. A big thanks to him for that.

Obstlt Heinz 'Pritzl' Br - Credited with 220 aerial victories, 124 against the Western allies.

In January 1945 Br was appointed head of the jet fighter school at Lechfeld, as a consequence he didn't get to fly combat in the machine until late in the war. Nevertheless he still scored 16 kills in the jet.
"Some of my 16 victories in the jet were with a special model of the 262 that was additionally fitted with the rocket motor from the Me163. This special fighter was intended for use against the Mosquito. I was able to down a Mosquito on my first mission. This special Me262 had a rate of climb of 9 to 10 thousand metres in 3 minutes (approx. ten thousand feet per minute) after reaching a speed of 750 kph"

Later, when flying with Gallands JV-44, he was given command of it on 22 April 1945 when Galland was wounded and Gunther Luetzow was killed. He ended the war in an appropriate position, commander of 'The Squadron of Experts'

This is RED 13, initially, WkNr 110559, however there has been a question asked about the accuracy of the Yellow stripe behind the cockpit, so it is possible that the AC is in fact Red 13 WkNr 110184.

I have seen many photographs of Me262's sporting the yellow stripe just aft of the cockpit, they are in fact the same as those that appear in this game, on the AC selection screen and in the hangar itself.

There is a mix of aircraft profiles using the yellow stripe, from KDO Nowotny to EJG2 through to JG7 so, the accuracy of the stripe on this AC cannot be truly verified, there are, however, reports of a drawing made by Br himself that the AC depicted may be the latter mentioned above (WkNr110184).

Br was killed on the 28th April 1957 when the machine he was demonstrating in Brunswick, went into a spin and plunged into the ground from 150 ft, to the horror of his own watching family.

Enjoy, comments can be made at the SimHQ bulletin board.
