This represents the P51D Mustang, "Dream's Lady", 78th FG, 82nd FS, during from January to May 1945. Col. Fillen was one of a handful of pilots who scored victories in both the Pacific and European theaters. During last days of December 1944, the 78th FG traded their well worn P-47D Thunderbolts for brand new P-51D and K Mustangs, starting to operate with their new mounts the first day of the New Year 1945.

The skin is intended to do good for everyone who wants to make a Campaign of the USAAF 78thFG in the singleplayer mode, or to fly a colorful Mustang online.
The nose art and the name of the plane were chosen to satisfy the majority of virtual pilots who likes the P-51.
If anyone wants a more "personalized" plane, I can modify the basic skin to match your request. For example, a different nose art, name, and so on.

Enjoy it, with my wishes of great success in the virtual skyes!

Colonel Damir P. Fillen

High Resolution P51D Mustang V 1.0 (Glide Version)
---------------------------------------
3D Model: Chompy
Original "Big Beautiful Doll" Skin: Salty
Modifications to the skin made by Damir P. Fillen, who wish to thank all envolved directly and indirectly in the making of the original skin.
Modifications made to the original skin:
1) Changed the color of the rudder.
2) Changed the serial number.
3) Changed the "nose art", by adding a nude beautiful girl, only on the left side.
4) Deleted the artistic script of the original skin on the right side.
5) Added the inscription "Dream's Lady" under the exausts stubs, only on the left side of the nose.
6) Changed the squadron code letters and the individual letter, on both sides of the fuselage.
7) modified the canopy mainframe, by deleting the original name of the pilot. Only to make visible the size of the letters, I added my name, but it is very easy to delete it and change with your own name. If someone encouter difficulties to make so, please contact me, and I will modify the skin for you.

Here the original Read-me file by Salty and Chompy:

This high resolution 3d model represents many hours of effort and has been a labor of love. Please respect the time and effort that has gone into this creation. The model is freeware and is for the use of the EAW community. All that is asked of the community is to acknowledge the authors and give credit for the original 3d model and skin. It is yours to enjoy and to modify, It is hoped that this will spure others to further refine not only this great aircraft, but many others for the benefit of the EAW community.

After 6 months in the making, Chompy and I, are proud to be able to bring you the High Resolution P-51 D Mustang. The new 3dz set uses 6 3dz's and 6 pcx files for the main shape, plus cockpits, transperancies and wingview which makes 12 pcx files and 17 3dz's to edit. This aircraft is completely non mirrored with the equivalent of 512 x 512 textures. Using multi 3dz's has allowed the use of extra points and sub-elements to fix a few things that needed attention.

The following list summarizes the use and connection of each 3dz file:
Pp51dA.3dz - 3dz file for the left rear fuselage and tail.
Pp51dB.3dz - 3dz file for the right rear fuselage and tail.
Pp51dC.3dz - 3dz file for the cockpit.
Pp51dE.3dz - 3dz file for the right wing.
Pp51dF.3dz - 3dz file for the front fuselage, left and right.
Pp51dG.3dz - 3dz file for the left wing.
Pp51dH.3dz - 3dz file for the "Gunst type" transperant shadow.
Pp51dL.3dz - 3dz file for the left Torn Off Wing.
Pp51dM.3dz - 3dz file for the Medium Distance Model (actually the old Pp51df.3dz)
Pp51dP.3dz - 3dz file for the prop.
Pp51dR.3dz - 3dz file for the right Torn Off Wing.
Pp51dS.3dz - 3dz file for the Long Distance Model

Pp51dfrt.pcx/tpc - texture file for F.3dz (Front fuselage)
Pp51dtex.pcx/tpc - texture file for C, H, P and Y.3dz's (c.pit, shadow, prop, cockpit prop)

Pp51dtlr.pcx/tpc - texture file for B.3dz (right tail)
Pp51dmex.pcx/tpc - texture file for M, and S.3dz's (MDM and LDM)
