Gloster Gauntlet of the Republican Air Force (fictional)
I used one of the blank Gladiator's skins made by Tom Murphy (Shadow Dragon), and added some standard markings and a spurious code based on the code sistem used by the FARE. The letters CG means C=Caza (fighter) G=Gloster
This sistem of coding was standard in the Republican Air Force.

I renamed all the PCX files from (ex.) Psp09tex to Psp2atex, and so was done with the 3dz files, transforming all what was available for the Spit 9 slot in something for the spitI slot. It was an experiment, very crude indeed, but it worked.

Note that there are still some rendering and distorsion problems, but it is better than nothing.
Another strange think: For use the Gauntlet thus obtained, you will have to use the Gladiator with the same skin, too. I dont know why this is necessary, but it works this way.
And there are some strange but little differences. The upper wing of the Gauntlet is looking right, with difference between the upper and the under surfaces, while in the Gladiator it looks camouflaged on both surfaces.
And the Gauntlet shows a 2-bladed propeller and a big spinner, while the Gladiator have a 3-bladed propeller with a very thin spinner.
and the Gladiator shows a fuselage that is more "slim" if compared with the one of the Gauntlet.
I really dont know why these differences, but they are welcome to differentiate a bit the two planes. I included some screenshots to better show these strange details. If someone wants to redo or perfectionate my job, be welcome!
Hope you will enjoy this simple skin. it was made only to add some taste to the SCW contest, as there was no skin for use with.

Many thanks to all for making the Gadiator available for us to fly in the virtual sky. Now we have a Gauntlet ;)
