Mosquito Instrumental Panel

This is a new instrument panel for the Mosquito cockpit originally created by Moggy.
You can find his files at:
http://mogggy.org/mosq/mosquitocockpit.htm

This update includes the following files:

PMOSQV.3DZ
PMOSQW.3DZ
PMOSQX.3DZ
PMOSQX.TPC
VCG_MOSQ.DAT
P151VIEW.CPT

The PMOSQV.3DZ and PMOSQW.3DZfiles are included to remove a "black bar" that is present
across the seat back. It likely wasn't visible in older versions of the game, but
it is plainly visible in 1.28 and beyond.

PMOSQX.3DZ is the 3dz file for the new panel.

PMOSQX.TPC is the image file for PMOSQX.3DZ. This file features a completely new set of
historically accurate gauges, all created from scratch.

VCG_MOSQ.DAT is a completely new file, designed and built from scratch specifically for the
Mosquito.

P151VIEW.CPT is also built from scratch, using the Cockpit Editor. All of the views in this file
are correct and were developed using screen shots of the 3D cockpit. In addition, several new
sprites were created for the Ignition, Langing Gear, and P8 Compass. The P8 Compass is visible
in the 3D cockpit as well, but do to current limits of the number of gauges in the 3D cockpit,
the others could not be added. This will change with the release of the next stage in EAW exe
development.

MOSQUITO NIGHTFIGHTER

Perhaps the most exiting aspect of this release is the discovery of how to make lighted gauges.
In the default cockpit when flying at night, switching on the cockpit lamp makes it much more
difficult to see because the entire cockpit lights up, not just the gauges. This makes it
very difficult to view your target, and ruins the immersion factor EAW is so famous for.
Unfortunately, this system only works in the 2D cockpit - however since you are flying at night,
the exterior visual resolution does not suffer greatly.

To use the Nightfighter effect, you must fly in 640x480 mode. To change this, either use OAW
to set the resolution, or open your EAW.INI file (found in your main EAW directory) and look for

[GRAPHICS]
Width=640
Height=480

Change the numbers to the above, save and you are ready to fly. You must use an exe that is capable of
flying at night to use this. I would recommend the 1.28b release or later.

Please note that hitting the F8 key during flight will revert to the 3D cockpit. That's okay to use,
but then you will be left with the original type of cockpit lamp. Also, remember that padlock does
not work in the 2D cockpit.

I freely welcome any questions or comments.

Cheers!
