P-47 D-20-RE (Razorback) 2.Staffel/Versuchsverband (also known as Beute-Zirkus Rosarius, "Rosarius Flying Circus", after the commander of 2. Staffel, Ted Rosarius)

According to "Flying Colors" (Squadron/Signal Publications, ISBN 0-89747-121-0), this is a captured aircraft used by the 2. Staffel of Versuchsverband (Experimental Formation)
Oberbefehlshaber (Commander in Chief) der Luftwaffe, Hustedt,Germany, September 1944. However, according to Hans-Heiri Stapfer in "Strangers in a Strange Land"
(Squadron/Signal Publications, ISBN 0-98747-198-9), this aircraft and unit were stationed at Gottingen during 1944. This particular aircraft was left behind due to maintenance problems
when the allied advance neared in late 1944/early 1945 and the unit moved to Bad Worishofen. This unit used captured allied aircraft to develop techniques to defeat thier opponents.
It is thought that this aircraft conducted several reconnaissance missions over England prior to the D-Day invasion.

This unit is of particular interest as it is considered to be the precursor to dissimilar training schools such as Red Flag (U.S. Air Force) and Top Gun (U.S. Navy).

There should be the following codes on the bottom of the wing surrounding the insignia, but I haven't figured out adding in the non-existant panels yet. (This is only my second skin.)
Port wing underside should be: L+K and the Starboard wing underside should be: T+9.
Any comments on this skin would be greatly appreciated!

I used the P-47 C skin created by Pretzel as the base for this model, and it should work with 3Dfx cards. Just unzip to your EAW directory and fly! This model uses the Bf-109E slot.

Thanks to Toneyemc68 for helping me get this to work in the Bf-109 slot, and Mr. J and Andy for helping me sort out a rather strange problem with the prop.

Any comments about this skin? Please, send me an email!
