Yak-7a Revised 21/01/2007 by Col. Gibbon

The Yak-7 was an improvement on the Yak-1 series and entered service in the latter half of 1942. It proved more of a match for the fighters of the Luftwaffe than had it's predecessor, but in itself was an important forerunner of the formidable Yak-3. This particular example is of an aircraft of an unknown IAP sometime during 1942. It is interesting to note that this machine has had it's rudder replaced, presumably dur to battle damage, from an aircraft that bore a whitewashed winter scheme.

This skin utilises modified 3dz files for the P47-c slot by Tailspin & Capt. Kurt. Wingview files, using Claudio's Yak cockpit, are included.
