Terrain editor v 1.1 Beta for European Air War

WHAT IS IT?
--------------
Terrain editor is a Visual Basic 6.0 application that helps to easily and quickly build terrains for the flight simulator European Air War. This application has been designed based on Dominique Legrand's research work. Thanks Dominique!!!!!

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO WITH THIS INSTALL FILE?
-------------------------------------------
Instalation files are divided into 720 KB files (7 in total) and two setup files.
Run the setup program and install the editor wherever you want. Create on drive C: directory EAW_tailes.
In the EAW_tailes directory create subdirectory gif32 and gif64. Unzip gif32.zip to gif32 subdir.
and gif64.zip to gif64 subdir.(gif32.zip and gif64.zip you'll find in the directory you have installed the editor)
Run editor.exe and that's it.

POOR SUBSTITUTE FOR MANUAL
--------------------------
The application is really easy to use. It consist of four main areas:
1. Tailes area with thumbnails of editor's tailes. It helps to identify the elements.
Just click on the element and its data will appear in the ID box (element is chosen).
2. Working area where the map is drawn. Here is the place where the elements appear
after confirmation of the element's co-ordinates.
3. Control panel where the element's data is typed. There are a few ways to put the data into a
   panel.
You can just click the left mouse button on the working area (and right button for the second set of co-ordinates),
You can type the data into the correct boxes or you can choose the data by scrolling the co-ordinate's bars.
You can choose co-ordinates just for one element filling the same data in both X and separately in Y boxes or
You can fill the area using one type of element. I hope it's obvious how.
Apply button - places the element or group of elements on the map
Refresh button - refreshes the map area using chosen quality (1 , 2 or 3)
Clear area - clears the area but not the data.
Apply height button - places the data about height of element according the given element's co-ordinates.
4. Menu consists of a few standard functions.
	- New map - fills whole the map with water elements,
	- Open map - opens existing map (*.TM format of course),
	- Open elevation map (*.hm format)
	- Save map - saves map,
	- Map zoom - shows the zoom of the map (very useful during designing work)
	- Element zoom - shows the bigger element's image with possibility of changing the direction of the elements.

WARNING!!!!!!!!
---------------

1. Files operations take a lot of time. You must be patient because they usually fill the array that counts 204800 elements.

2. ALWAYS START A PROJECT BY LOADING MAP, OTHERWISE YOU CAN NOT USE MAP ZOOM PROPERLY.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

v.1.1 Added elevation function and other small changes. Elevations work separately from
map terrain using the same user interface. I.E. You can work with elevations for other
map then downloaded current. (not suggested but possible)
Elevations are included between 0 and 255. During my trials height about 100 gives 4 km in the game.

Terrain editor is a free ware
