Seasonal Terrain Sets Addon;

These sets are assembled compilation of various Terrain Effects created by many past and present members of this EAW Community. The objective was to provide an atmospheric immersion effect of pasting seasons during a monthly or yearly played campaign.

They represent the creative works of Paul Morais, Paul Wilson, vonOben, Pretzel, SixPistols, SagginB, Ghostboy, Fukuoka, Migge, vonBeerHofen, Jeager, Stag/Serb

There are two primary sets offered:
The 1st. primary sets cover the passage of time based on months (ie: January, February, March, etc.).
Whereas the 2nd. primary sets will cover the passage of time by seasons (ie: Winter, Spring, etc.)

Each Terrain Set, whether Monthly or Season, are shelf contained sets with their own Terrain, Sky, Tree and Buildings files. All files are the LoRes variety except for the Ghostboy's Ultra HiRes Airfield Buildging files. It is not expected that these files will cause 'scrambled cockpits'. However, reducing 'Game Configure - Terrain Detail' to the 'Medium' setting will correct this effect should it occur. As the year progresses from month to month you will see stuttle changes in both landscapes and sky effects.

The seasonal changes are reflective of European weather systems:
Jan./Feb; are the Hard Winter months with both heavy snows and Grey skies...
March; the snows start to receed and the sky is light Blue with cirrus clouds....
April/May; trees and landscapes become greener while cirrus cummulus clouds appear on the horizon....
June; the farmland colours darkens and alto-cumulus cloud developement increases....
July; high summer with Cumulus nimbus clouds....
August; the onset of Autumn when trees start to change colour....
September/October; Autumn arrives and the blue sky deepens....
November; Autumn sky turns blue-grey with heavier snow clouds on the horizon....
December; the first snows of Winter cover the ground....
 

The way this works is to first create a sub-folder Titled 'Seasonal Ter.' in your EAW directory of the chosen campaign or on your hard-drive. Into this sub-folder 'Seasonal Ter' create further sub-folders labled 'Jan-Feb', 'March', April-May', etc. or 'Winter', Spring', etc. Now, unzip and download into each 'labled' folder the appropriate 'Monthly' or 'Seasonal Terrain Sets'.

When complete, before starting your chosen game campaign, simply copy and paste the chosen 'Seasonal Set' (Month or Season) into your EAW directory. As the campaign progresses simply continue to copy and paste the next Month or Season files and let them over-write the previous files. and that's it.

Noted Exception: All files will over-write previous files except for the Winter Building Files. These will have to be deleted manually.
With the transition from 'Jan_Feb' to 'March' or 'Winter' to' Spring'  All 'Grnd**.tpc' files should be deleted first. (ie: 'Grnd01.tpc' 'Grnd01s.tpc' 'Grnd02.tpc' 'Grnd02s.tpc' 'Grnd03.tpc'.....'Grnd11.tpc' 'Grnd11s.tpc')
If you don't you'll have buildings snow covered roofs during 'March'/'Spring'.

Included with these Seasonal sets are Screen Shots so that you can appreciate visually the terrain progression effect.

No doubt these sets could be used with either Stab, Skins or More or possibly OAW for a more automated transitional process. I haven't tested it but you could try it......
