Bf 110G 'S9+IC' of Hauptmann Gunther Tonne, Gruppencommandeur II./ZG 1, Byelgorod, Ukraine, June 1942.

*Skin by Serb. Nose art by Steve Belanger
*3dz modifications by Serb.

This second-generation II./ZG 1 (ex-II./SKG 210) aircraft displays the elaborate 'Wasp' nose which, in fact, dates back to an even earlier period in the unit's existence whe it was operating as III./ZG 76 in Norway. Originally designed as a Gruppe badge by Richard Marchfelder, and featuring three small wasps over a stylised cloud, it was developed into the striking motif shown here presumably to compete with II./ZG 76's distinctive 'Sharksmouth'. Note the yellow Eastern Front theatre band encircling the fuselage aft of the wing root. Appointed Kommodore of SKG 10 in December 1942, Major Tonne was killed in Italy on 15 July 1943 when the engine of his Fw 190 failed during take-off from Reggio. His final tally is beleived to have numbered at least 20.

**New Modifications for the Bf 110G**
These 3dz mofication files are for all to use, and I would be honored to see other 110G's updated with these mods. Changes/additions to the standard EAW Bf 110G are:

--Corrected crew position, with pilot now appropriately closer to front
--Antenna mast placed on top of canopy
--Antenna mast placed on lower fuselage
--Loop antenna placed on lower fuselage
--Improved cockpit layout, with cockpit and gauges by Migge
--Additional stuctures created for lower fuselage
--Non-mirrored codes for both sides of fuselage

The improved cockpit layout includes a modified gunsight, which now is short enough to expose the important rate of turn gauge. Major Tonne's kill tally was not added to the fin, in order to minimize any mirroring effect. His total at this time was 17, with the last 8 being Soviet aircraft.

**Instructions**
In order to code for the new crew placement, antennas, cockpit and non-mirrored codes, five additional files are required. These are P110gf.3dz, P110gg.3dz, P110gv.3dz, P110gw.3dz and P110gx.3dz, and are all included in this package. Unzip the files, then drag and drop all *.tpc and *.3dz files into your European Air War directory. To return to the default skin, move the same files out of the EAW directory.

**Thanks**
Thank you very much Steve Belanger, for having created the original "classic" wasp-nose 110, and for giving me permission to use its nose art. Also, thanks to Migge for all the work he did on his amazing cockpits!

I hope you like it - I hope you dig it - Feel free to send me an email with comments:
