Mustang MkIII 19 Sqd.Version 2.0, 1-12-02

This Mustang MkIII represents the mount of Flg Off B. M. Vassiliades, No. 19 Squadron. Flg Off Vassiliades is credited with nine kills, two of them in this aircraft. RAF Mustangs gained white spinners and nose bands, and white bands across fins, tailplanes, and wings during December 1943 to bring them into line with USAAF P51s. The fin band was soon removed, and most tailplane bands were gone by March 1944, but the other mnarkings remained. Wing bands were displaced by D-Day invasion stripes, but white noses lasted longer.

This Version 2.0 updates this skin based on the 3d alterations of Captain Kurt. This skin also makes use of the 3d editing talents of George Lekko and Claudio Wilches. George is responsible for modifying the PAW skin to bring it up to EAW standards. Claudio is responsible for the cockpit wingview that allows the RAF style camoflage to be possible. Without either of these two Gentlemen, this skin would not be possible. My thanks to both of them for making this possible.

This modification is to be used in conjunction with Charles Gunst ECA panel 3.3 and higher. Be sure to use the Mustang Mk III setting in order to have the proper RAF communications in-game. Another important point: be sure to use the Pp51btra.tpc file that comes with this modification. It has been modified to allow the RAF roundels to show on both wings. Also be sure to delete this file when changing skins or the new image will not be displayed properly. You must also use the Pmustv.tpc file to get the correct cockpit wing view, (along with the usual cockpit files, Pp51bv.tpc, Pp51bx.tpc, and Pp51bvtr.tpc). When changing to a new skin, simply delete these files prior to loading the new files to avoid image display problems.

Enjoy!
