Hurricane Mk IIc Tropical

Steve Day and Edward both asked that I add a Volkes tropical filter equipped Hurricane 3DZ model to the Spit V Trop I just completed. (intended for Emils' and Prune's upcoming Med and Malta campaigns - or you can fly it in the current Med or Torch campaigns. Use the MkIIc with ECAPanel to get the 20mm's)

So here is a 20mm cannon equipped Mk IIc.

All existing skins would need to be changed to fit this new model which is non-mirrored. So, I also adapted a this all time favorite older Med Hurricane skin so it will fit the new model. This is Jamie Richards' Mk IIc skin. See the original read me below.

It's dangerous for me to do little add ons to a model, because I can't seem to just make a simple addition anymore without going over the models to improve them. So the new Hurricane has the prop thrustline raised, the nose reshaped, the fuselage lengthened, oil cooler profile smoothed, tail planes reshaped, the upper fuselage contours lowered, etc. The original model I started out with was Capitan Manduca's with non mirroring upgrades from Ghostboy.

This was all done quick and dirty, so it is still not a perfect Hurricane model. My time is becoming more limited and I couldn't invest in a complete rebuild right now. But it's a worthwhile improvement along with adding the Volkes tropical filter.

Cheers

Captain Kurt

This Hurricane IIC scheme is based roughly on a Hurricane IID of No 6 Squadron at LG 91, Western Desert, July 1942. The 3D wireframe of this aircraft has been modified by Paulo Morais. (Note: now replaced)
