ATTACK-IN-THE-WEST 1940 ADDON MANAGER  V1.0    ***************************************************

This package contains a lone DOS executable file, AITWMAIN.EXE, that manages the different AITW40 modes.

By running AITWMAIN.EXE, you can directly launch :

 - the campaign mode manager (formerly W40.exe - see the readme in the original AITW40 package)
   NEW : the program now asks you if you really want to abort a campaign. The current career
   can be saved before deletion .
 - the single mission mode manager (formerly SMissW40.exe - see the readme in the original AITW40 package)

but also some of the available tools for AITW40 :

 - the Career manager utility (*** NEW UTILITY ***)
 - the no-enemy-aircraft campaign missions generator (formerly Noplane.exe)
 - the randplan.fil editor (formerly Aircraft_SubFolders_Setting.exe)
 - the AITW40 path set-up fix (formerly Path_SetUp_Fix_AITW40.exe)

>>> ABOUT : Career manager utility - N E W   F E A T U R E  -  *********

The AITW40 addon is now able to manage up to 7 careers at a time. The career manager utility allows you to save the current career, to load, unload and delete previously stored careers. When launched for the first time, the program automatically creates seven subfolders in the AITW40 savedata folder. All tasks are then automated.

>>> ABOUT : no-enemy-aircraft campaign missions generator **********

This AITW patch intends to generate campaign missions where no enemy aircraft are encountered.
Such missions will be randomly generated by the programme at frequencies choosen by the user (0, 2.5, 5, 10, 20, 25, 30, 50, 75 or 100%).

>>> ABOUT : randplan.fil editor  ***********

One of the features of the AITW40 addon is to generate random skins in campaign and single mission modes.
Up to 255 (!) skins with different markings are possible for each aircraft slot. You can thus add as many skin subfolders (named 1, 2, 3, 4, ...) you wish to each aircraft folder.
However, the AITW programmes must know the number of skin subfolders among which a particular skin has to be randomly choosen. These informations are contained in RANDPLAN.FIL.
This tool automatically edits Randplan.fil. It displays the current setting of skin subfolders and it can make changes to the current number of skin subfolders.

>>> ABOUT : AITW40 path set-up fix

If you have problems running AITW40, this is probably because there are conflicts with the default DOS path of the AITW40 addon.
The executable file has to be copied directly into the W40 subfolder of the AITW40 directory. It can detect and fix the path to your addon directory. Run it and follow the instructions. If the savedata folder doesn't exist in AITW40 (that's the case following a first EAW install when no career is run), it will create it.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>    INSTALLATION (very easy, be quiet :0)  ): <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

You don't need to uninstall the previous AITW40 program files. However, for saving HD space, it is better to remove them.
In that aim, delete all *.exe files from your AITW40/W40 folder : W40.exe, SMissW40.exe but also Path_SetUp_Fix_AITW40.exe, Noplane.exe and Aircraft_SubFolders_Setting.exe if you already installed them.

Then, drop the contents of this Zip into your AITW40/W40 folder :

AITWMAIN.EXE - the executable file
RANDPLAN.XEX
W1.X$X
W2.X$X
W3.X$X
W4.X$X
W5.X$X
W6.X$X
SAVCAR.FIL
This readme

Overwrite the Randplan.xex file already present in the folder and it is done.

From now, just launch AITWMAIN.exe for a full access to the AITW40 modes.

Have fun.
