1942 CAUCASUS CAMPAIGN

The 1942 Caucasus Campaign replaces the
Battle of Britain Campaign with one starting
in June of 1942, when the German summer offensive
"Operation Blau" starts. The aim ofthis campaign
is to simulate the air and air to ground war on
the Russian Front.

The Caucasus Campaign is a modified 1940 campaign,
with different aircraft and upgrades. It starts in
June 1942 and ends in January 1943, when the German
6th Army surrenders at Stalingrad. In a normal
campaign you fly a mission every 4 days, if you choose
a long campaign be prepared to fly a mission every 2 days
for a total of 100 sorties.

As in reality all German and Russian aircraft will
participate in a significant number of air to ground
bombing and interdiction attacks. Of course also a
significant number of sweep, escort and intercept missions
will be flown.

This Russian Campaign is not 100% historically correct,
but it is certainly more historically correct to play than
a Battle of Brittain or 1943-1944 campaign of the original
EAW with winter terrain and Russian aircraft skins applied.
