GeForce Terrain Shimmering Fix

Want to get rid of the terrain shimmering and blocky pixels that you get in EAW? If you have a GeForce card, you can! Anisotropic filtering is a feature available with GeForce series cards that does wonders for the shimmering terrain, as well as making other textures like aircraft look much cleaner. To enable this, you first need to be running on nvidia 21.81 or later drivers. Then you can turn on anisotropic filtering by using a utility like RivaTuner (my favorite), GeForce Tweak Utility, or NVMax. These all basically do the same thing by allowing you to set various graphics card settings. Just enable Anisotropic filtering for Direct3d (not OpenGL) using the utility and you are set. There may be a slight performance hit with this feature turned on. You can download the appropriate driver and utility from many graphics card sites, including Guru3D , 3dChipset, or VoodooFiles.
