P-39N Airacobra - 129th Guards IAP - VVS.

The P-39 has a less than spectacular start to it's career, being disliked by the USAAF pilots that had to fly it. Under Lend-Lease, it had a fresh start with the Soviet VVS, fighting against the Luftwaffe. It's good low-altitde performance and heavy firepower made it one of the most formidable aircraft on the Russian Front, and was the personal mount of many of the VVS Aces. This particular skin is painted in the markings of Hero of the Soviet Union, N.D. Gulyayev of the 129th Guards IAP, sometime during 1944.

This skin utilises 3dz files for the Spitfire Mk.I slot by HarryM, Cord Hartmann, JPI and Capt. Kurt. Cockpit files by Migge and others.
