This P51C represents the mount of Lt. William B. Overstreet, "Berlin Express", 363 FS, 357 FG, 8th AAF, based at Leiston, England, during June 1944. Lt. Overstreet flew in Capt. Bud Anderson's flight and often flew as his Wingman. He survived the war with two planes to his credit.

This P51B model was developed from work that was done by George Lekko, aka "Geo", to heavily modify the old PAW Mustang 3dz. His generosity in offering to modify the 3dz files to allow for a EAW style prop and transparent canopy, led to further refinements, such as the non-mirror effect, fixture of single insignia, and correct drop tank/bomb placement. Cord did the shadow file for the P51, while Claudio made a different shadow file for the British Mustang III.

Geo's efforts and skill provided a great base for me to work with to further complete the P51B shape. It is actually more his plane than mine. I added a new correct nose shape and spinner and changed the wing tips and rear deck shape slightly to more accurately capture the P51B's shape.

Claudio also helped here. He made the new medium distance model, which now has a spinner and clear canopy.

To use, just copy and paste all .3dz and .tpc files into the EAW main directory.

Cheers

Captain Kurt
